A two-week creative sprint to take that thing you’ve been thinking about and give it a proper go. Starts April 19, 2026.

Look, you don’t have to tell me what it’s like. I know exactly how it goes *gestures expressively to the world outside the window*

If you and I are cut from the same cloth, there are all the many projects and ideas- THINGS- that are dancing in your mind and you’re starting to feel antsy.

You have a sense it might be time.

Time to take whatever idea is your favourite, or that niggling desire and hunker down. Give it some proper attention.

To see if that thing you want to do has, in fact, got some legs.

And at this point, if you listen very closely, you’ll hear me shout out, perfect!

It’s creative action time!

Two weeks.
One thing.
Come and play with me, and we’ll do this thing together.

*fist bump*

So, What's This All About?

This One’s Got Legs is a two-week creative sprint of the choose-your-own-adventure variety.

You bring your project- your idea, your half-finished thing, your current creative preoccupation – and we’ll get things moving. Give it a bit of momentum. See what happens when it gets some actual time and attention.

You can bring a project of any kind, at any stage.

It might be something you’ve already started and would like to return to, something that has been impatiently waiting for more of your attention, or something creative that is worth doing just because you want to.

Over the course of two weeks, you give that one thing a bit more space, a little more of attention, and just enough structure to help it shift from something you think about into something you’re actively engaging with.

The Sort Of Thing This Is Perfect For...

This is deliberately open, because creative work doesn’t come in one shape or size.

You might use this time to:

  • get back into your sketchbook and build some momentum
  • begin a first draft you’ve been chewing on for months
  • sink into a piece of work that feels important but keeps getting pushed out to the edges
  • add a bit more to a piece you’ve been working on

Or, You might:

  • set up a Substack page, blog, or newsletter and publish your first post
  • focus on one part of your creative business that needs attention
  • finally finish something that has been sitting at 80% done for far too long

This is for you if...

  • you have a project (big or small) that you want to actually move forward
  • you work well with a bit of structure, but don’t want to be boxed into one specific outcome
  • you like the idea of choosing your own adventure, but not doing it alone
  • you want momentum more than perfection
  • you’re very capable of doing the thing… and also very capable of not doing the thing

It’s also a good fit if life is full (because when isn’t it), and you need something that helps you work with your actual energy, not some imaginary version of yourself who has loads of time and no responsibilities.

And if you’ve got a track record of starting things and then wandering off halfway through, welcome!

You’re in exactly the right place.

🦵 Access to the Finish Something mini-course

A simple, practical framework to help you move from circling to doing, and from doing to finishing, in a way that fits the reality of your time and energy.

🦵 Regular co-creating sessions on Zoom

Co-creating sessions are times where we get together and spend some time working on our own things in a shared space. They’re not coaching sessions, and there’s nothing you need to prepare or contribute. You just come, get yourself set up, and tinker with what you want to play on.

You’re free to dip in and out depending on what suits you.

🦵 Community support

A shared space for check-ins, progress, and a bit of collective momentum so you’re not doing this on your own

We’ll be using a private, off-social space called Circle (the playground for my community, Creating Wild) for the sprint, which is where everything happens. I’ll show you exactly where to go and how to get set up once you join.

The Legs Log (the official treasure hunt) 🏴‍☠️

Seeing as though ‘accountability’ is a slightly dastardly and deeply uninspiring word for which I have no suitable replacement, may I present to you: the Legs Log.

For a few brief moments, I invite you to imagine you are back in the 1990s, marking off little boxes in a diary in a satisfyingly analogue fashion. That is, more or less, what we’re doing with the Leg’s Log

Each time you show up, in whatever way that looks like,  you’ll give yourself a mark in your Legs Log.

That might be working on your project, showing up to a co-creating session, posting or responding in the space, or picking things back up after a day or two where it didn’t happen. It all counts, and it all goes in the log.

Running alongside this is a very official (and entirely unnecessary, but delightful) creative treasure hunt.

As your marks build, they will correspond to Leg points. Get a certain number of points and you’ll be sent some little treasures along the way!

This isn’t about hitting targets or doing more than you can realistically manage. It’s simply a way of letting your effort be met with a bit of support, encouragement, and the occasional surprise as you go, so that the act of showing up starts to build on itself in a way that feels both satisfying and sustainable.

And also, if we’re being honest, because I like the name Legs Log, and it is objectively quite fun to give you things.

Hi, I’m Jane 👋 I’m an artist, writer, and creative mentor.

I’m interested in what it looks like to make things in the middle of a full, complicated life, and how we keep showing up to our work without it becoming heavy, pressured, or unsustainable.

My background is in somatic and movement therapies, with a focus on the nervous system, which shapes how I think about creativity.

In practice, that means helping people find ways of working that actually fit their lives,  working with their energy, attention, and capacity, so the thing they want to make has a chance to get some legs.

FAQs

What if I don’t have much time?

That’s completely fine. This is designed to work in small pockets of time, not long, uninterrupted stretches. The aim is simply to keep coming back to your project in whatever way you can.

You just pick it back up and keep going. There’s no falling behind here. Coming back is part of the process.

No. Everything is optional. You’re welcome to come to as many or as few sessions as suit you, and you can dip in and out as needed.

They’re shared work sessions where you come and spend time on your own project alongside others. They’re not coaching or teaching sessions, just a simple, supportive space to help you start and keep going.

Almost anything. This works for creative projects, writing, drawing, ideas you want to explore, or things you’d like to finish. The main thing is that it’s something that matters to you.

No. You’re welcome to share if you’d like to, but there’s no expectation to post or show anything.

Live sessions are on Zoom and the community spaces are inside Creating Wild, using a private platform called Circle. It’s simple to use, and you’ll be shown exactly where to go when you join.
